Maps and GIS!

Here you will find a modest collection of the GIS products that I have created. This assortment contains not only maps but also digital imagery, Cartographic projects, Remotely Classified images and collegiate GIS projects.

This is the product of my senior capstone project. The goal here was to visualize the relationships between West Nile Virus outbreaks and Climate Change within the U.S., over a 14 year time period.
This is a satellite photo that has been manipulated digitally by ENVI software. The window in the center shows the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) image that was extracted from the original photo. NDVI displays healthy vegetation as red and water as black.
Land Cover Classifications from Remotely Sensed Imagery of Friends of the Dunes Land Trust, in Manilla, CA.
Land Cover Classification Training Data for Friends of The Dunes Land Trust.
Classified Digital Rendering for Land Cover Types at Friends Of The Dunes Land Trust.
Hyperspectral Imagery from Cuprite Mine in NV. This false color composite represents different surface minerals.
A comparison of Dark Object Subtraction imagery (top) and True Color imagery (bottom).
A quad-comparison of Satellite imagery from Big Horn, WY. Each window represents a different Band Ratio expression.
Digital Image Comparison of a Triple Stacked Ratio. The image on the right has undergone a Dark Object Subtraction Process.
This Raster Color Slice utilized the Normalized Differential Vegetation Index (NDVI) to display the peak reflectance values of healthy vegetation in Bright Green.
3-D Rendering of a Truncated Histogram from a forest plot using LiDAR data.
Digital Extraction of a single tree from a forest plot. The different colors represent the varying canopy heights of the tree.
